As a General Yard Labourer at Had-Fab, you’ll work outdoors in our busy steel fabrication yard, helping to move, load, and organise heavy steel materials. This is a physical, hands-on role that supports the smooth running of day-to-day yard operations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Move and handle steel safely around the yard and workshops
* Load and unload materials using safe manual handling techniques
* Assist with sorting, stacking, and storing steel correctly
* Keep the yard clean, tidy, and well organised
* Support stock checks and general yard tasks as required
* Work outdoors in all weather conditions as part of a busy team
Reporting & Interfaces
* Reports to the Yard Supervisor / Stock Controller
* Works closely with other yard and workshop staff
Health, Safety & Environment
* Follow safety rules and use PPE correctly
* Report hazards or unsafe conditions via Mango
* Take part in safety talks and training sessions
Skills & Experience
* Experience in manual or outdoor work (advantage but not essential)
* Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
* Reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious
* Positive attitude and team-focused approach
