Job Duties: The Victims’ Payments Regulations 2020 provides for the establishment of the Victims’ Payment Board to oversee the Victims’ Payments Scheme, the objective of which is to provide payments to those who, through no fault of their own, are living with permanent disablement caused by an injury sustained in a Troubles-related incident. This AO role is within the Listings & Determinations Team. The main duties include: • Preparation of case papers for hearing panels by using ‘Adobe’ software. Ensure each set of papers include all required documentation before line management checking stage. • Act as ‘On-call’ Hearing Clerk to the Victims’ Payments Board by arranging virtual hearings and providing IT and/or administrative support to the Panel, as required. • Act as Hearing Clerk support for oral appeal hearings, if required. Issue hearing outcome notifications to the relevant staff and teams across VPB. • Prepare and issue early update letters to applicants, in line with agreed processes. • Update the VPB Portal and Team Database in line with agreed process. • Management of shared mailboxes and provide responses to incoming queries from applicants, representatives and panel members both in writing and verbally. • Collate statistical information in relation to hearings upon request from management. Essential Criteria: 5 GCSE's AC including Maths and English (must be able to show evidence) A criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position. The UK Recruitment Co.
