Compensation: £43,935 + Benefits

The role

As a Service Desk Manager, you’ll lead a team that plays a pivotal role in the success of the Submarine Development Agency, delivering critical services to the Ministry of Defence and shaping the future of UK defence capability.

Day-to-day, you’ll oversee application support analysts handling incidents from Royal Navy personnel, MOD civilians, and industry partners.

* Deliver prompt, courteous support and resolutions to customer-raised issues.
* Prioritise and delegate tasks effectively to ensure positive customer outcomes.
* Assist third-line support with diagnostics and corrective actions for software solutions.
* Maintain clear communication with customers, including progress updates and activity logs.
* Ensure services are delivered in line with agreed Service Level Agreements.

This role is full time, 35 hours per week, with hybrid working arrangements.

Essential Experience

* Proven leadership in high-performing service desk teams.
* Skilled in incident management, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills, familiar with ITSM tools.
* Experience supporting web-based applications with SQL/Oracle.
* Desirable: Staffware workflow and Oracle WebCentre Portal knowledge.

Qualifications

* ITIL Foundation level qualification.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain SC security clearance.
