Overview

Dalata Hotel Group is seeking a Sales Executive to identify, solicit and convert new opportunities in all market segments in line with the hotel’s yield management objectives. The role also involves managing an agreed list of accounts to develop revenue, recognising opportunities from existing businesses and developing new accounts from local corporate markets. The position requires active participation in all sales activities and maintaining high standards of professional conduct and brand image.


Responsibilities

* Work with the Sales & Marketing Manager to identify, solicit and convert new opportunities in all market segments in accordance with the hotels yield management objectives.
* Manage an agreed list of accounts on behalf of the hotel and develop revenue from these accounts; recognise and capitalise on opportunities to maintain them at an optimum level.
* Constantly recognise and develop new accounts from the local corporate markets.
* Participate fully in all sales activities including sales calls, corporate entertaining, social events, promotions, popups, office drops and competitive set spotting.
* Ensure accurate processing, distribution, recording/filing and follow-up of all sales correspondence, including contracts, quotations, confirmations and cancellations.
* Carry out regular site inspections with enthusiasm and professionalism to capture potential business.
* Stay informed about main market developments and factors influencing business conditions.
* Coordinate and complete regional sales trips within Ireland, the UK and possibly Europe.
* Protect and promote the image of Dalata Hotel Group brands in print and verbally.
* Report directly and timely to the Sales & Marketing Manager and complete weekly and monthly reports.
* Represent the company professionally and create/maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and managers.
* Report for duty in a clean, tidy condition, wear the correct uniform and display the name badge at all times while on duty; maintain high personal hygiene standards.
* Have full knowledge of all hotel facilities, including opening and closing times, and promote these facilities at every opportunity.
* Complete Salesforce activities daily, including inputting leads, opportunities and contacts.
* Keep on top of any ongoing projects you may be assigned.


What YoueedNeed

* At least 1 year of experience in a similar role in the hospitality sector.
* Reactive sales experience is required; proactive sales experience is desirable.
* Excellent communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English.
* Role involves travel; candidates must have access to a car and hold a full drivers licence.
