We're looking for Site Manager to work on our flagship HMP Glasgow project delivering a modern, safe, secure campus North East of Glasgow city. Location : Robroyston, Glasgow Hours: Full Time, Permanent We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role. What will you be responsible for? As site manager you will take a key role in ensuring the safe delivery of works across site, managing sub contractors and staff to drive quality and programme. Your day to day will include: Under the direction of the Construction Manager oversee and direct sub-contractor partners to deliver work packages such as groundworks, drainage, structural frame erection, roofing, cladding, interior fit out and finishings. Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements from sub contractors to ensure working methods outlined are safe, appropriate and in line with Kier Health and Safety policy and standards. Check work carried out by sub-contractors to assess delivery in line with programme, design drawings and quality standards, report any variance or issues to the Project Manager for remedial action. Carry out toolbox talks and site inductions to ensure full compliance with Kier standards. Co-ordinate site logistics, movement of plant & labour to, from and around site ensuring safety is maintained in doing so. Report any issues or programme slippages to the site / project manager. Create, log and file site reports and paperwork in an accurate and timely manner utilising relevant platforms (Procore, Snag Master etc). With relevant input of the wider project team (P.M, Designer, Engineer etc) find solutions to any technical or logistical challenges presented on site. Guide, mentor and develop more junior management staff to aid in their development What are we looking for? This role of Site Manage is great for you if: Experience working on large scale building projects. Relevant Construction Management Qualification (HND/ Degree / SVQ) SMSTS 5 Day Cert CSCS Card First Aid General IT literacy – able to use software such as Procore/ Snagmaster or similar Successful applicants will undergo Disclosure Scotland security checks as part of the process.
