The Role As a Senior Developer, you will enhance our ecommerce platform and contribute to high-quality, scalable feature development. Specifically, you will take ownership of the full software lifecycle, developing new platform features and resolving issues while maintaining top-level performance. Youll work across teams, making decisions on design, improvements and implementation. Youll also be providing technical support to clients as well as evolving internal tools and documentation to benefit the wider team. Additionally, you will: - Create and maintain frontend HTML/CSS from templates - Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels About You To be considered as a Senior Developer, you will need: - At least five years commercial experience working with high-traffic, high-performance websites - Experience with PHP (8.2 preferred, 7.4 minimum) - Experience with API server development and client integration (e.g. REST, JSON, XML) - Experience with unit testing and test-driven development - Previous customer support experience (front-line and second-line, through to fix deployment) - Proficiency in database query optimisation - Knowledge of MVC and design patterns - Strong HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills - Excellent debugging and documentation skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills Other organisations may call this role Software Developer, PHP Developer, Full Stack Developer, Backend Developer, Web Developer, or Senior Web Engineer.
