Role overview We are looking for a Junior Frontend Developer to join our growing digital team. Reporting to our Frontend Lead / Development Manager, you will work with designers, backend developers, and project managers to build and maintain high-quality, user-friendly websites. Our hybrid working model is 4 days per week working from our Leicester office and 1 day remote within the UK. As a Junior Frontend Developer at Williams Commerce, you will: Develop responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces using a wide variety of frontend technologies. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate designs into functional web components. Maintain and improve existing codebases and contribute to new projects. Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards and best practices. Debug and resolve frontend issues across browsers and devices. Stay up-to-date with emerging frontend trends and technologies. Y ou will bring: Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, Next.js and JavaScript (ES6). Experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework (e.g. React, Vue, Angular). Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git. Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility. Basic knowledge of RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
