Position:
Job title: HR Administrator – 12-month FTC, may be extended
Hours/Days: 38 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Location: Hybrid with the ability to travel to UK sites as needed
Reporting to: Group HR Director
We are recruiting for a HR Administrator to join the team to ensure that all TUPE employee administration data requirements are processed accurately and appropriately. The role also will manage and resolve general TUPE queries via phone and email for both TUPE in and TUPE out. You will run daily checks on workloads in relation to TUPE IN starters, ensuring that all employee data administration is processed accurately, appropriately and in line with the Implementation Targets as well as work closely with different divisions within MITIE (eg, Managers, Change Partners, Benefits and Pension Teams), ensuring the transfer is completed successfully Reporting to the Group HR Director the HR Administrator will also provide administrative support to the Human Resources department, ensuring the efficient handling of HR-related tasks and maintaining accurate employee records. This role is essential in supporting day-to-day HR operations, coordinating HR projects, and ensuring legal compliance across all HR functions.
Specific responsibilities
* Support the HR advisor with all TUPE mobilisation projects.
* Any issues or concerns with data of transferring employee/s is resolved as quickly as possible to ensure employee is set up to be paid correctly and within a timely manner.
* Provide efficient service within the team for all TUPE queries.
* Carry out any relevant checks on data reports in relation to TUPE.
* Manage and update employee records with precision and confidentiality.
* Support the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to leaver administration.
* Assist in the preparation of HR documents, including contracts and policy updates.
* Help ensure the organisation remains compliant with all relevant employment legislation and internal procedures.
* Provide administrative assistance for various HR processes, such as performance reviews, training, and probationary meetings.
* Act as the first point of contact for staff queries, escalating complex issues to senior HR team members.
* Provide administrative support during TUPE In and Out processes, HR meetings, including minute-taking.
Requirements:
* Ideally a minimum of one year's experience in a human resources role.
* Someone who is highly organised, resilient, and adaptable.
* An assertive and proactive individual with a positive outlook.
* Proven experience in an HR Advisory role, with direct involvement in TUPE transfers and mobilisations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build trust with employees at all levels.
* CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) or equivalent experience.
