Spices and Rices is a well-established producer of Indian ready meals and catering services, proudly serving the Batley community since 1996. As we continue to expand, we're looking for a reliable, skilled chef to join our growing team.

What You'll Be Doing:
* Prepare high-quality Indian dishes using established recipes.
* Cook in bulk for catering events and in-store meal production.
* Ensure all food is prepared safely, hygienically, and on schedule.
* Keep your station organised and contribute to smooth kitchen operations.
* Work quickly and efficiently as part of a small, collaborative team.
* Take initiative, solve problems, and stay calm under pressure.
* Always maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
* Offer input on new dishes and support menu development.
* Be punctual and dependable — timing is crucial in our kitchen.
What We're Looking For:
* Experience in a commercial kitchen or food production environment.
* Ability to cook Indian cuisine.
* Knowledge of Food Safety
* Ability to follow recipes and deliver consistent results.
* Comfortable with large-scale food preparation.
* Holds or is willing to complete a basic food hygiene certification.
* Excellent time management and attention to detail.
* Able to work independently and within a close-knit team.
* Committed, organised, and takes pride in their work.
* Creative input and fresh ideas are always welcome.
* Based in the area or able to commute to Batley
Pay:
* £27,600 per year (full-time)
* Overtime available.
