A Switchboard Telephonist accepts, delivers, and responds to guest and management messages, enquiries, and emergencies. They use their knowledge of hotel facilities, services, and the local area to respond quickly to customer needs.
What will I be doing?
As a Switchboard Telephonist, you will:
* Respond to guest and management messages, enquiries, and emergencies efficiently
* Ensure all messages are accepted and delivered accurately and promptly
* Manage wake-up calls at the correct times
* Promote hotel facilities and services using up-selling techniques
* Handle emergency calls immediately and relay accurate information
* Maintain high customer service standards
* Follow hotel security, fire regulations, and health and safety laws
* Attend necessary training courses
* Have knowledge of hotel services, local attractions, and landmarks
* Follow brand standards
* Assist other departments as needed
