Taylor Woodrow is looking for a proactive and experienced Site Manager to lead the on-site delivery of multiple National Highways projects. You’ll oversee 2–3 live sites, as well as support in Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) phases of upcoming works. The role will require a deep understanding of earthworks, drainage, and general civil engineering, as well as the ability to support both project planning and commercial forecasting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage daily site operations on multiple live projects ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
* Support the planning and programming of works in collaboration with the project team.
* Work closely with the commercial team to provide input for cost estimates, forecasts, and subcontractor management.
* Lead and coordinate all on-site activities, ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
* Take part in the ECI process to shape delivery strategy, buildability reviews, and risk identification.
* Liaise with the client, local stakeholders, and supply chain to maintain positive working relationships and ensure expectations are met.
* Monitor progress, manage subcontractors, and ensure project records are accurately maintained.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on infrastructure, highways, or civil engineering projects.
* Strong understanding of earthworks, drainage, and general civils.
* Familiarity with National Highways standards and procedures is desirable.
* Experience supporting planning activities and working alongside commercial teams on cost management.
* Comfortable working across multiple sites and in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Relevant SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications.
