 
        
        We’re looking for a senior HR professional to join our People team as Head of People & Culture on a maternity cover basis. This Fixed Term Contract will be for 13 months, ideally beginning as soon as possible. 
This role will be responsible for managing a small People team of 2, while maintaining best in class standards of process and policy application, and employee experience. You’ll also act as an escalation point for complex people issues and give specialist advice to the Company Directors and Executive team. 
This is a hybrid position working between our Glasgow City Centre office and remotely. We’re also happy to consider candidates looking to work 4 days per week rather than 5, on a part-time or condensed basis. 
 
The Job 
On a day-to-day basis, you’ll be involved in the following: 
 * Leading and managing the People team by setting priorities, maintaining output, and managing escalations and key decisions 
 * Ensuring all policies and processes applied consistently and with scalability in mind 
 * Acting as trusted advisor to the Company Directors and Executive team members 
 * Understanding employee priorities and painpoints, and ensuring these are represented at senior level 
 * Working with Department Heads and Executive team members to develop their teams in line with optimal organisational design and scalable structures 
 * Managing key people projects such as restructures and TUPE acquisitions 
 * Continually upskilling the People team and Line Managers to equip them with best practice People Management skills 
 * Ad hoc projects as required 
 
Requirements
Ideally, we’re looking for someone with the following: 
 * Experience working in a scale-up or technology/software/health tech company is advantageous 
 * Experience with talent acquisition or organisational design is advantageous 
 * Strong management and stakeholder skills 
 * Passion for modern, best practice HR 
 * Comfortable leading strategic people projects 
 * Well versed in UK employment law 
 * Adept at balancing employee experience with commercial goals 
 * Tech savvy – comfortable navigating and optimising HRISs
