About the role:
The Ramsey Academy is looking for an enthusiastic food technology specialist to join our highly committed Technology Faculty. At Key Stage 3, technology operates on a carousel system. All students study a minimum of three subjects: Textiles, Food, Product Design, and Ceramics. At Key Stage 4, we offer:
* Food Preparation and Nutrition
* 3D Design
* Textile Design
* Art, Craft and Design (Pearson)
Food Preparation and Nutrition is a popular option, supported by first-class resources, including two specialist food rooms with brand-new cookers and a dedicated space for theory lessons.
The successful candidate will teach Food Technology up to G.C.S.E. level. This position is suitable for both ECTs and experienced teachers.

The Technology Curriculum
Our Key Stage 3 Technology curriculum uses a carousel system, allowing students to study at least three subjects from Textiles, Food, Product Design, and Ceramics. They receive two lessons per fortnight in Technology, plus two in Art and Design.
At Key Stage 4, we offer:
* Food Preparation and Nutrition (Eduqas)
* 3D Design (Pearson)
* Textile Design (Pearson)
* Art, Craft and Design (Pearson)
Our facilities include two specialist food rooms with brand-new equipment and a separate space for theory lessons. Food Preparation and Nutrition remains highly popular among GCSE students.
A class set of iPads and a charging trolley are dedicated to the Technology Faculty. Computer rooms are available school-wide.

* Termly Artist in Residence visits
* Food workshops with local businesses
* Community projects with local organizations
