Overview
Modus Construction Management are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join us on a self-storage project in Welwyn Garden City.
This role would ideally suit someone with direct self storage experience, although we are also keen to hear from candidates with a strong track record delivering warehouse, industrial or logistics projects.
The position will initially be offered on a freelance basis, with a clear route to a permanent role for the right candidate. We are looking for someone who wants to come in, make an impact on the project, and build a longer-term future with the business.
You will be joining Modus’ Construction Management team, supported by an established, RICS-regulated construction consultancy with a strong track record across the South East. This provides a well-structured and professionally managed environment, with robust commercial, contractual and project support behind the delivery team. The role offers the opportunity to be part of a growing arm of the business, combining the agility of Construction Management with the stability, systems and expertise of a wider consultancy.
Responsibilities
* Coordinating subcontractors and site labour
* Driving programme and maintaining progress
* Ensuring high standards of health and safety
* Overseeing quality, logistics and reporting
* Working closely with the wider project team and client-side stakeholders
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Site Manager
* Experience delivering self storage, warehouse, industrial or logistics projects
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* A proactive, hands-on approach to project delivery
* SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid as a minimum
