We are a newly established distribution company specializing in South Asian food products including branded and unbranded nuts, pulses, rice, spices, and farsan (Indian snacks). We supply directly to grocery stores, food retailers, cash & carry outlets, hotels, and catering companies (HORECA) across Inner London, Outer London, and nearby cities. Our team is passionate about quality, customer service, and building strong relationships with our clients.
Job Summary
We are looking for a Sales Executive with strong experience in FMCG or food retail sales to join our expanding team. This is a field-based role that involves daily travel to client sites, end-of-day reporting at our office, and collaboration with our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be proactive, target-driven, and confident in face-to-face sales. A valid UK driving license and confidence in driving across London and surrounding regions are essential. A company car will be provided, or alternatively, candidates may use their own car with fuel costs covered through a transport allowance.
Key Responsibilities
* Visit grocery and food retail stores, cash & carry outlets, hotels, and catering companies (HORECA) to generate and close sales orders
* Sell our branded range of South Asian food products (nuts, pulses, farsan/Indian snacks) as well as unbranded and bulk shipments
* Build and maintain long-term client relationships
* Promote our product range effectively to new and existing customers
* Travel extensively across London and nearby cities (e.g., Birmingham) for client meetings
* Coordinate with warehouse and delivery teams for order fulfillment
* Record daily sales activities, log sales into company systems, and report performance to management
* Handle client inquiries and provide after-sales support
* Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock availability
* Ensure compliance with food safety and distribution standards
Requirements
* Minimum 2–3 years' experience in FMCG sales, food distribution, or retail
* Familiarity with South Asian grocery products is highly beneficial
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Fluency in Hindi and/or Gujarati is preferred
* Strong driving skills and a valid UK driving license (all travel expenses covered)
* Comfortable with daily field sales travel across London and beyond
* Strong organizational and time-management abilities
* Technological aptitude with the ability to use systems for logging sales, monitoring stock, and tracking contracts
* Knowledge of London's geography and major surrounding areas is beneficial
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
