The Opportunity: Application Security Developer (Software Engineering Background)
We are seeking an Application Security Developer to embed robust security practices into our software development lifecycle (SDLC) and safeguard our SaaS platform. This is a hands‑on role requiring close collaboration with development teams to optimize security tooling, guide secure design, and provide actionable remediation advice.
As Radar Healthcare expands its use of AI in engineering and product capabilities, this role will also take on growing responsibility for AI security in development.
What You’ll Be Doing to Make a Difference: Key Responsibilities
* Operate and optimise security tools (SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets scanning, SBOM generation, supply‑chain monitoring).
* Implement secure CI/CD pipelines and quality gates across GitHub, GitLab, and Azure DevOps.
* Provide threat‑driven guidance for features, APIs, and architecture decisions.
* Own SBOM creation and supply‑chain security monitoring.
* Deliver secure coding workshops and maintain security documentation.
* Support governance and risk assessments for AI‑assisted development.
Your Journey So Far: Required Skills & Experience
* Experienced Application Security Developer/Engineer (3+ years) OR Software Developer (3+ years) with strong security interest and experience acting as a risk champion or secure coding advocate.
* Experience with secure coding in PHP, JavaScript/TypeScript, .NET/C#, and React.
* Understanding of OWASP Top 10, ASVS, and modern API security risks.
* Experience with Github, Gitlab, Azure DevOps and CI/CD workflows.
Even Better If You…
* Are familiar with threat modelling frameworks and supply‑chain security.
* Are curious about AI security and emerging tech.

* A competitive salary of up to £65,000 per year, dependent on experience.

* Flexible working: Trust‑based approach around core hours. Base expectation of 1 day per month in the office (Leeds office with rooftop bar), otherwise remote work is optional.

* Pension: We contribute 3% of your salary.
* Technology: Laptop provided on day one. WFH risk assessment in the first week to ensure necessary equipment (second screen, keyboard, mouse, etc.).
