Site Manager
Projects: Retail and Petroleum - New Build and Fit-Out - UK
Head Office: Fleet, Hampshire
Salary £55,000 - £60,000 + Living Away Expenses + Vehicle + 25 Days Holiday + Pension
Blaymires Recruitment is working in partnership with a respected building contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to lead Retail and Petroleum projects across the UK.
The company, established over 20 years ago, has built a strong reputation as a leader in the Electric Vehicle Charging, Petroleum, and Retail Construction sectors. Their clients include major blue-chip brands such as Asda, BP, McDonald’s, Sainsbury’s, and Tesco, with project values ranging from £1M to £10M.
Responsibilities of the Site Manager
* Manage the day-to-day running of construction sites to ensure timely project delivery.
* Enforce health & safety standards across all site activities.
* Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks.
* Coordinate subcontractors and site operatives to meet programme milestones.
* Ensure all works are completed to high standards and within strict deadlines.
* Maintain clear communication with clients, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers.
* Travel and stay away from home as required by project location.
Requirements of the Site Manager
* Proven experience managing Groundworks, Civil Engineering, or Retail construction projects.
* Strong leadership, planning, and subcontractor coordination skills.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving ability.
* Comfortable working on fast-paced, multi-site projects.
Qualifications of the Site Manager
* CSCS card
* SMSTS certificate
* First Aid at Work
* HNC or equivalent in Construction or Civil Engineering (preferred)
