What Are We Looking For? We are looking for a dedicated and skilled individual to join our kitchen team in a unique, independent role. As the sole kitchen staff member, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the kitchen, from meal preparation to daily operations. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the kitchen and create meals that bring joy and comfort to our residents! Key Responsibilities: * Placing and receiving orders for foods, ensuring efficient stock rotation and performing regular cleaning duties. * Planning and preparing meals based on menus, ensuring variety and quality – we don’t need Michelin stars, but we do want you to be a “star” for our residents! * Ensure the kitchen adheres to all food safety standards and health regulations, taking responsibility for cleanliness, hygiene, and safe food handling at all times. * As dietary requirements can vary, you will need to adapt your cooking and meal plans to accommodate special dietary needs, including modified diets, ensuring both quality and safety. Key Requirements: * A valid Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2. * Knowledge of modified diets and the IDDSI framework (or the willingness to undergo training in this area). * A passion for maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. * Previous experience working in a kitchen, particularly in a similar independent role, would be beneficial. Shift Pattern: Hours from 7:45 am to 6 pm Week 1 – Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday Week 2- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Company Incentives: · £250 Welcome Bonus, payable after 6 completed months of service
