About the Role
Are you ready to take the lead in shaping the future of energy? Freedom's Power Solutions team is on the lookout for passionate Site Managers to join us in Northern Scotland. In this pivotal role, you will manage site-based teams dedicated to delivering Green Recovery substation construction and maintenance works across the SSE North DNO region.
As a Site Manager, you will be at the forefront of installing and constructing electrical power distribution and transmission systems ranging from 400V to 132kV. Your leadership will ensure that we deliver safe, profitable, and high-quality networks that not only meet customer needs but also enhance our company’s reputation.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and manage the installation of ground-mounted and structure-mounted power system components, including cable systems, switchgear, transformers, busbars, relay panels, and more in substations operating at up to 132kV.
* Prepare and maintain site Health & Safety records.
* Order materials and manage site logistics.
* Monitor, report, and forecast site progress effectively.
* Engage with customer representatives both on-site and off-site.
* Participate in hands-on work as part of the team when required.
What We’re Looking For
* Significant experience working on HV substation sites.
* Proven ability to supervise staff and subcontractors.
* Electrically qualified with the capability to perform electrical work on HV equipment.
* SMSTS qualified.
* Must hold SSE authorisations (CAT 1, CAT 2 & CAT 3).
