Hours: 22.5 hours per week (working across 7 days, including weekends) Schedule: You will work alternate weekends (every other weekend) About the Role We are looking for a caring and reliable Cook to join our friendly team at The Leys Residential Care Home. You will play an important part in providing nutritious, well-balanced meals for our residents, supporting their health and wellbeing every day. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of meals in line with dietary needs and preferences of residents. Ensure meals are served on time and to a high standard of quality and presentation. Follow all food hygiene and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen. Manage stock levels, complete food orders, and minimise waste. Work closely with the care team to ensure residents’ individual dietary requirements are met. About You Experience working as a cook or chef, ideally in a care home, school, or similar environment. Knowledge of food hygiene, allergies, and dietary needs (training can be provided). Friendly, reliable, and able to work independently. Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends on a rota basis. Must live locally or have your own transport, as there is no public transport to the home.
