What you'll be doing?
Within the Construction environment, think about buying materials, managing big projects, ensuring health and safety, and customer service. We work on approximately 400 developments across the UK, each with unique challenges, from scratch on brownfield sites to adapting existing buildings like old factories or disused hospitals.
We need innovative thinkers with the commercial ability to manage people, budgets, and costs. Our construction teams have been recognized with more NHBC Pride in the Job Awards than any other housebuilder for thirteen consecutive years.
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will ensure all labour tasks meet high standards and deadlines.
You will be expected to:
1. Carry out all works on site as instructed by the Site Manager and in line with BDW Standards and procedures
2. Inspect all on-site signage and ensure they are clean and in good repair
3. Take responsibility for health and safety on site and report breaches
4. Ensure protection of fixed materials is carried out and maintained by subcontractors
5. Maintain compound and welfare facilities
6. Keep construction plots tidy
7. Conduct daily site walks to check for surplus materials and cleanliness
8. Segregate and recycle waste according to BDW guidelines
9. Check show home gardens and open spaces weekly, removing rubbish
What you'll need?
To succeed, you should be:
1. Enthusiastic and proactive, able to work independently
2. Experienced in large volume domestic house building
3. Health and Safety aware
4. Possessing a current CSCS or partner scheme card
