We design, install, and maintain all types of automatically operating fire extinguishing systems and electronically activated fire detection and alarm systems for large projects through to servicing small standalone products. Role
Site Manager
Duties
* Directly responsible to the Project Manager and Operations Manager
* Oversee and manage the day-to-day installation, testing and commissioning of the mechanical fire protection / gas suppression / fire detection systems
* Oversee site installation sub-contractors through site inspections in terms of safe working and adherence to approved method statements and risk assessments, site housekeeping, work permits, progress, adherence to construction drawings, and operational staffing
* Deliver regular site safety toolbox talks to the site team
* Regular liaison with client representatives at site level including progress meetings, safety meetings and inspections, planning, snagging inspections and related activities
* Regular liaison with Argus Fire project team members and management
* Carry out regular installation snagging inspections and complete snagging paperwork
* Complete regular safety checks on site equipment and related checklists
* Work remotely on sites within the UK
Essential
* Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Site Manager of fire suppression system projects
* Competent in the use of IT software, particularly MS Outlook and MS Office
* Good working knowledge of electrical installation practices and methods
* Good working knowledge of fire suppression products and alarm system design, commissioning and cause and effect testing
* Good working knowledge of BS EN 12845, BS 990 & BS 9251
* SMSTS qualification
* Good appreciation and understanding of construction-related health and safety protocols
* Clean UK driving licence
Desirable
* Suitable NVQ Level 3 qualification (can be provided after probation period)
