Quality Manager
Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: £45,000 – £48,000 + Benefits

We are working exclusively with a leading chilled food manufacturer supplying a diverse range of products to major retailers across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced and proactive Quality Manager to join their large, fast-paced facility in Hertfordshire.
The Package
* £45,000 – £48,000 per annum
* 25 days holiday + bank holidays
* Company pension scheme
* Monday to Friday, day shifts
The Role
As Quality Manager, you will take full responsibility for ensuring all products meet internal quality standards and comply with food safety regulations. You will play a key role in maintaining site compliance and driving continuous improvement across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and developing the quality control team
* Ensuring compliance with HACCP, BRC, and food safety standards
* Managing inspections, testing, and internal/external audits
* Maintaining accurate quality documentation and reporting systems
* Overseeing supplier quality and approval processes
* Handling customer complaints in a proactive, solutions-focused manner
* Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site
* Ensuring high standards of hygiene, sanitation, and risk management
The Candidate
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Quality Management or Supervisory role within food manufacturing
* Strong working knowledge of BRC standards
* HACCP Level 3 (or above) and Food Safety Level 3 (or above)
* A degree in Food Science or a related field is desirable
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
* Proactive approach with a strong focus on continuous improvement
