Job summary
In this specialist role, you’ll shape how reward works across Weatherbys at a time of continued growth and investment. Working in a hands‑on HR team, you’ll lead pay, bonus and benefits activity across the Group, balancing strong governance with practical delivery. It’s a broad role where your work directly supports attraction, retention and trust – for colleagues and for the business.
Why choose Weatherbys?
Working for Weatherbys means being part of our centuries-long history whilst building a future filled with ambition. Over the last three decades, our finance Group has evolved to provide specialist services across Private Banking, Business Banking, Racing Banking and Arkle Finance – all as part of one Weatherbys family. Now, we’re looking to elevate the people-first service we provide even further, as we help our clients achieve their financial goals for life. To do so, we’ll be investing heavily in our systems, our technology, and above all, in our people. Join us, driving innovative ideas, building the strongest of human connections, and developing finance that puts people first.
What sets this role apart?
* You’ll own reward end‑to‑end in a growing, people‑first banking Group.
* The role blends technical reward expertise with practical, hands‑on delivery.
* You’ll work closely with senior leaders, Finance and external advisers.
* It’s a broad remit, not a single‑process role.
* You’ll support Board and RemCo activity without being a decision‑maker.
* Flexible working, with a choice of office locations and remote working.
Your focus will include
* Delivering the annual pay and bonus cycle from design to approval.
* Leading pay benchmarking and job levelling activity across the Group.
* Managing benefits renewals, platforms and day‑to‑day administration.
* Preparing reward data, analysis and proposals for senior stakeholders.
* Ensuring reward activity is compliant, accurate and well governed.
* Improving how we communicate pay, benefits and wellbeing.
What we’re looking for
* Experience in reward, benefits or a broader HR role with strong reward exposure.
* Experience delivering pay, bonus or benefits cycles in a regulated environment.
* Confidence working with reward data, modelling and analysis.
* Strong attention to detail and sound judgement with sensitive information.
* A clear communicator who can explain reward simply and clearly.
* Although you won’t need a formal reward qualification, one would be helpful.
