HR Manager Location: Manchester with hybrid working options Department: People & Operations Reports to: Senior Leadership Team About us Rezzil creates performance products for sport across VR, mobile, console and gaming, serving B2B, B2C and elite performance markets. Our products support training, analysis, fan engagement and immersive sports experiences across the sports industry. Exar.live is our live game data ingest and transport platform, powering real-time analysis tools for VR, broadcast and performance environments. As we continue to grow, we are also expanding into new areas including computer vision and AI-driven solutions. We are based in Manchester and London, with a growing hybrid team across both offices. This is an exciting time to join the business and help shape the people processes, policies and employee experience that will support our next stage of growth. The role We are looking for an experienced, practical and approachable HR Manager to support Rezzil and Exar.live as we continue to grow. This is a hands-on full-time role suited to someone who can bring HR experience, structure and ownership into the business. You will work closely with the senior leadership team on recruitment, resourcing, HR policy, employee support and performance reviews, while helping to build the foundations for how we manage people as the company scales. A key part of the role will be creating and maintaining our HR policies and staff handbook. You will also take ownership of our performance review process, which is currently ad hoc, and help design a clear system that works for both employees and the business. You will work alongside the Office Manager on onboarding, hot desking and office coordination, and liaise with IT to ensure new starters have the right hardware, system access and equipment in place. Key responsibilities HR policy and staff handbook Create, update and maintain company HR policies. Lead the development of the staff handbook. Ensure policies are clear, practical and appropriate for a growing technology, sports and gaming business. Advise the senior leadership team on HR best practice and employment-related processes. Help introduce consistent ways of working across our Manchester and London offices, as well as hybrid teams. Recruitment, onboarding and resourcing Support the senior leadership team with recruitment across Rezzil and Exar.live. Help prepare job descriptions and coordinate candidate communication, interview scheduling and recruitment administration. Support workforce planning and resourcing conversations as the business grows. Own the HR elements of onboarding for new starters. Work with the Office Manager and IT to ensure new employees are welcomed, equipped and set up effectively. Maintain accurate employee records, contracts and HR documentation. Performance reviews and employee development Review the company’s current approach to performance reviews and recommend a better structure. Design and implement a practical performance review process that works for both employees and the business. Decide the best review cadence and format, whether company-wide review periods, anniversary-based reviews or another suitable model. Work with senior leaders and line managers to define review timelines, templates and expectations. Help ensure employees have regular opportunities to discuss performance, development, goals and feedback. Support managers in preparing for and running effective review conversations. HR operations and people support Manage day-to-day HR administration across the business. Support the management of holidays, sickness, absence and other leave requests. Act as a trusted point of contact for HR-related questions from the team. Support managers with employee relations matters, escalating or seeking external advice where appropriate. Help foster a positive, inclusive and well-organised working environment. Ensure HR processes are simple, useful and suited to the size and stage of the business. About you You will be an experienced HR professional who enjoys working in growing businesses and building practical people processes from the ground up. You should be confident taking ownership of HR policies, staff documentation, performance reviews and the employee lifecycle. You will be comfortable working independently, advising senior stakeholders and balancing strategic HR thinking with hands-on administration. This role would suit someone who has worked in a generalist HR role, HR Manager role, People Manager role or similar, and is looking for a full-time position in a growing technology, sport and gaming company. Skills and experience Previous experience in an HR Manager, People Manager, HR Generalist or similar role. Experience writing or maintaining HR policies, staff handbooks or employee guidance documents. Experience designing, improving or managing performance review processes. Strong understanding of HR processes, employment practices and employee lifecycle management. Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding. Confident advising managers and senior leaders on HR matters. Excellent organisation and administration skills. Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information. A practical, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail. Interest in technology, sport, gaming, VR, broadcast, data or AI would be beneficial.
