Based in our offices at the racecourse in Ascot, Berkshire, you will be part of the Events team focused on selling Events products and services to existing customers, driving growth, and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
What Youll Be Doing
* Pro-actively selling Events products and services to existing customers; maximise revenue through an innovative approach and best-in-class customer experience.
* Achieve sales targets and maximise revenue through all sales channels.
* Manage key accounts through face-to-face meetings, cold calling, and personal contacts; use a sales platform and management tools (e.g., Salesforce, Delphi diary management, LinkedIn).
* Convert incoming enquiries to confirmed bookings allocated by the Events Sales Manager; contact inquiries within 2 hours and follow with a written proposal within 24 hours (or an agreed timescale).
* Regularly meet with existing accounts/agents to build an account development strategy for retention and growth.
* Research and identify new market opportunities and existing account opportunities.
* Assist in preparing sales collateral and presentation materials.
* Maintain enquiry and proposal processes that support delivery standards and KPIs.
* Maintain accurate prospect records in the venue management system (Salesforce/Delphi).
* Be aware of competitor pricing and local market dynamics; understand impact on profitability.
* Participate in local networking groups and trade bodies; build and manage a long-term network across market segments.
* Ensure market-leading levels of Customer Service with relevant partners; support race day hosting and client entertaining activities when required.
* Demonstrate Ascot values and deliver exceptional customer service.
* Undertake special duties or work outside normal routine as requested by Senior Management.
Other Responsibilities
* Support Racedays as applicable
* Develop the role to be proactive; support the Events team on an ad-hoc basis
* Perform such other duties as the Company may reasonably require
Skills And Experience You Can Bring
* Minimum 2 years’ experience with demonstrable success in a sales environment, preferably within Events.
* Experience of cold calling and selling to agents, corporates, and private individuals.
* Competence with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and a Customer Relationship Management system.
