We have an exciting role on offer within our Human Resource service as a Pay and Reward Manager. About Us This a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of our HR Service, ensuring our Values remain at the heart of what we do and how we behave. We’re looking for a passionate and experienced manager to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, you’ll be a vital part of the HR management team, working collaboratively across all service areas and leading on the provision of advice on pay and reward including significant corporate projects and organisational reviews. As Pay and Reward Manager, you will: Lead the strategy and delivery of Pay and Reward, including Job Evaluation Payroll and Systems. Provide expert advice on pay-related matters, ensuring alignment with the Council’s People Strategy. Maintain strong working relationships with Trade Unions and senior managers. Develop clear, user-friendly policies and Pay related e-learning content to support managers. Ensure consistent application of job evaluation across the organisation and meticulous record keeping. Deputise for the Head of HR when required. You’ll be an experienced HR professional who: Holds a CIPD Level 7 qualification (or equivalent). Has a strong background in Job Evaluation with experience in Payroll, and HR Systems. Is confident advising senior leaders and managing change. Has experience working in a Trade Unionised environment. Demonstrates excellent communication, analytical, and influencing skills. Is committed to equality, safeguarding, and continuous development.
