Brooks Bros (UK) Ltd is a leading, privately owned timber business with over 60 years of successful national trading. Operating from five strategically located sites across the UK, we supply a wide range of high-quality products including sawn and machined hardwoods, softwoods, sheet materials, flooring, decking, cladding, and engineered timber.
We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Executive – Panel Products with a strong background in panel products to join our team. Based in our Maldon site, this hybrid role will combine both internal and external sales activities.
The ideal candidate will be a confident trader and purchaser, capable of contributing to the continued growth of the panel products division with the support of our wider sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a high volume of customer enquiries, provide accurate and timely quotations, and convert opportunities into sales
* Develop new business while maintaining and growing relationships with existing clients
* Collaborate effectively with internal teams to meet and exceed sales targets
* Maintain optimal stock levels and handle procurement of standard and special-order items
* Offer technical advice and product support to customers and internal sales staff
* Drive the introduction and promotion of new panel products to expand the business line
Requirements:
* Proven experience in panel product sales (Plywood, MDF, Veneers, Engineered Wood Products, etc.)
* Strong commercial acumen with a passion for trading and customer service
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team
* Valid UK driving licence required
* Life insurance
* Hybrid working model – a mix of office-based and on-the-road sales activities
* Monday to Friday work schedule
