Chichester College Group has an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Learning Mentor based in Brinsbury??????. You will join us on a Term Time Only, permanent basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of pro rata of £24,791 to £25,935 per annum (i.e. £22,502.60 - £23,541).
The Learning Mentor Role:

As our Learning Mentor, you will provide students with a high level of mentoring support – providing them with the support and guidance to enable them to achieve their programme of study and transition pathways. You will motivate our learners and monitor their progress and play a key role in their student journey.

Key Responsibilities of our Learning Mentor:
Motivating the individual learner and to monitor his/her progress in; and response to; their learning; encouraging personal evaluation; reflection and target setting; using value added to measure progression.
Rigorously tracking and monitoring the attendance of each student within a cohort of tutees and; where necessary; take appropriate action to rectify poor individual performance. This will/may include sustained liaison with the student.
Liaising with subject teachers; course leaders and Curriculum Team Managers on issues; working in accordance to the Student Referral Policy where appropriate.
Playing a key role within the "student journey" process and positive outcomes.
Our ideal Instructor Learning Mentor should have the following skills and experience:
A level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
Experience of supporting young people with Additional Needs
Experience of delivering learning advice to students in a 1:1 or group situation
Application of digital technology to learning. An understanding of safeguarding requirements
The ability to communicate to a diverse range of people at all levels; verbally and in writing
