We are looking for a passionate and organised Cook to join our friendly nursery team. You will be responsible for preparing and serving healthy, balanced meals and snacks for children aged 6 months – 5 years.
We are dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive. As part of our team, you'll play an important role in supporting children's health and development through nutritious, home-cooked meals.
The Role
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and prepare daily meals and snacks in line with children's dietary needs, allergies, and preferences.
* Ensure all food is nutritious, varied, and appealing to young children.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen in line with health & safety and food hygiene regulations.
* Manage stock levels, food orders, and budget effectively.
* Work closely with nursery staff to ensure individual dietary requirements are met.
* Promote a positive attitude towards healthy eating.
About You
* Previous experience as a cook, ideally within a nursery, school, or similar setting.
* Knowledge of child nutrition and the ability to cater for allergies and special diets.
* Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above).
* Ability to work independently, manage time well, and stay organised.
