We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Proactive Sales Executive to support the growth and development of our trade customer base. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional service, identifying opportunities through data-driven insights, and implementing effective contact strategies to strengthen customer relationships and achieve sales targets.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement tailored sales strategies to meet the needs of smaller turnover customers, focusing on maximizing the placement of pattern books in the marketplace, especially for trade customers with infrequent visits from our sales team.
* Contact customers to review performance, understand current projects, offer sampling, and promote existing and new collections.
* Understand customer needs to maximize sales opportunities.
* Secure future business through excellent service and support.
* Create and execute a customer contact strategy using all contact tools.
* Provide world-class customer service to maximize sales opportunities.
* Input customer feedback and actions into CRM.
* Coordinate with the Customer Service Team to ensure accurate order and sample processing.
* Follow up on calls and emails.
* Analyze performance data to inform future calls.
* Prepare regular reports and monitor sales performance with the sales leadership team.
* Complete all administrative duties related to the role.
* Meet individual sales targets as part of the team.
* Use effective sales techniques to promote, upsell, and cross-sell products, building strong business relationships.

* Achieve sales budget and year-over-year growth.
* Operate within budget constraints.
* Maintain activity levels of calls and emails per day.
* Meet sales success metrics according to the budgeted plan.

* Collaborate with sales colleagues to ensure performance.

* Review service levels and gather feedback from Customer Service.
* Analyze and measure customer performance with Finance.
* Share insights and drive performance with senior management.
Skills & Experience
* Proven sales experience, especially in call centers or mail order catalogues.
* Strong business sense and industry knowledge.
* Product knowledge and experience in demonstrating products.
* Experience in building long-term business relationships.
* Self-motivated, results-oriented, positive attitude.
* Experience with CRM systems and WG360.
* Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
