Sponsorship Sales Executive – Professional Sport
Location: Leicester
Hours: 35 per week, Monday–Friday (seasonal flexibility)
Salary: Competitive base + performance bonus
Contract: Permanent - Reporting to: Commercial Manager
The role:
Recruiting on behalf of a leading professional sports organisation. Your mission: win new brand partners, grow existing accounts, and deliver high-impact activations that drive ROI on matchdays and beyond.
What you’ll do:
* Prospect and qualify target brands; build a healthy sponsorship pipeline.
* Create tailored proposals/pitch decks aligned to partner objectives.
* Negotiate and close multi-asset deals against clear revenue KPIs.
* Manage and renew partner accounts; ensure rights delivery and reporting.
* Work with Marketing & Events to plan and execute activations.
* Track performance in CRM; report on revenue, pipeline and ROI.
* Network at industry/local events; represent the organisation professionally.
* Keep meticulous records of activity, contracts and forecasts.
What you’ll bring:
* 1+ year in sponsorship sales or B2B new business (sport/events preferred).
* Evidence of closing deals and hitting targets.
* Strong presentation, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
* Solid IT/CRM skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint; Salesforce/HubSpot a plus).
* Organised, proactive and comfortable working some evenings/weekends in season.
* Understanding of commercial partnerships, hospitality and brand activation.
