Handyman/Handywoman – Self-Employed Subcontractor
Overview
We are looking for a reliable and skilled Handyman or Handywoman to carry out a variety of home improvement tasks on a self-employed basis. You will work across 40 properties in the Wakefield area, completing jobs such as painting, decorating, plumbing, lock changes, and general repairs. Hours and work will be scheduled weekly, giving you flexibility while providing a steady flow of assignments.
Main Duties
* Carry out painting and decorating tasks to a high standard.
* Complete plumbing work, including minor repairs and installations.
* Change and repair locks as required.
* Perform general home improvement and maintenance tasks.
* Ensure all work meets safety standards and is completed efficiently.
* Report on completed work and any additional maintenance needs.
* Manage your schedule in line with weekly work allocations.
* Maintain professional conduct when visiting properties and interacting with tenants or clients.
Qualifications & Skills
* Proven experience in general maintenance, painting, decorating, and basic plumbing.
* Ability to carry out lock changes and minor repairs safely and efficiently.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
* Organised, reliable, and able to manage time effectively.
* Good communication skills and a professional attitude when dealing with clients.
* Own tools and transport preferred.
