The Role We are seeking an experienced Temporary Works Site Manager to take full ownership of all temporary works activities on a major bridge and infrastructure project in Birmingham. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safe planning, design, installation and removal of all temporary works throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with construction and site management teams. Key Responsibilities Identify temporary works requirements and develop detailed temporary works plans in collaboration with the project team Carry out risk assessments and ensure full compliance with relevant legislation, codes of practice and industry standards Manage the design, installation and dismantling of temporary works, including scaffolding, formwork, falsework and access systems Coordinate internal teams, designers, subcontractors and external stakeholders to ensure temporary works align with the overall construction programme Provide technical leadership and guidance to site teams and subcontractors Oversee and manage scaffolding and access subcontractors, permits and approvals Conduct regular site inspections and audits, resolving issues promptly Maintain accurate documentation including design calculations, method statements and risk assessments Stay up to date with industry best practice and implement continuous improvements About You You will have proven experience working on large-scale UK infrastructure projects, ideally bridges or viaducts, and be confident managing all aspects of temporary works on a live construction site.
