Programme Officer (Temp) A well-established organisation based in Belfast, are currently seeking an experienced Programme Officer to join their team. This is a Full-time, Temporary Position - initially for 6 months (to start immediately). Working hours: 37 hours per week. With a salary of £37,694 - £38,990 per annum (pro rata) - dependent on experience. Closing date: 22nd September Job Purpose: You will be responsible for managing the monitoring and closure of projects to which the business is responsible for. This will include monitoring and evaluating project progress and outputs, managing the closure of projects, acting as the point of liaison with projects, conducting data collection and analysis from a variety of sources - including electronic systems, draft reports and prepare returns for submission to departments as well as assisting with research based on closure and evaluation reports that will feed into the company digital and communications activities. Essential Criteria: A minimum of 5 GCSEs grades A-C (including English Language and Maths) or equivalent OR a minimum of Leaving Certificate (Standard/Ordinary level) - 5 grades A-C (including English Language and Maths) or equivalent. Good technical skills with previous experience in IT financial systems such as spreadsheets and databases. Experience in Project Management including establishing, monitoring and verification of outputs as well as gathering, analysing and reporting on project activity, outputs and results. Demonstrable experience in the reviewing of non-financial information (reports etc) and follow-up action as required. Experience in drafting reports, working with, understanding and interpreting financial data. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload. Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. Desirable Criteria: A third level qualification. Experience of Grant Funding. Experience in the operation of databases. Experience in Programme or Project Management to include verification of outputs, reporting writing, reviewing evaluation reports and project closure. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Monitor and report on the progress of the implementation and closure of programmes. Assist in the implementation of the closure processes and procedures. Ensure robust monitoring of project implementation including progress and verification of project outputs. Attend meeting, events and seminars to represent the business as requested. Develop a network of contacts within key stakeholders. Assist in activities associated with the closure of the legacy programmes. Research and draft submissions, papers and reports on themes/areas of discussion based on closure and evaluation reports, as directed. Prepare governance papers and reports for presentation. Monitor projects via an electronic management system. Liaise with the public and key community and business figures as necessary.
