We’re looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of a significant leisure development near Canterbury, Kent. The initial project is expected to run for around 12 months, with a strong pipeline of future developments already secured across the region. This role offers excellent long-term career stability, as you’ll move on to other projects in Kent upon successfulpletion of the first build, ensuring continued employment and opportunities for progression.
The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background and proven experience managing construction projects from start to finish. You will lead site operations, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery, while managing subcontractors and liaising with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee day-to-day site operations and ensurepliance with health and safety regulations.
2. Manage subcontractors and coordinate their activities to meet project deadlines.
3. Monitor progress against programme and budget, reporting regularly to senior management.
4. Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout all phases of construction.
5. Conduct site inspections and resolve any technical or operational issues promptly.
6. Liaise with clients, consultants, and suppliers to maintain effectivemunication.
7. Prepare and maintain accurate site records, including risk assessments and method statements.
8. Drive continuous improvement and ensure adherence topany policies and procedures.
Requirements
9. Previous experience as a Site Manager on large-scale construction projects.
10. Strong engineering background (civil or structural preferred).
11. Excellent leadership andmunication skills.
12. Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain high standards under pressure.
13. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Kent for future projects.
14. SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications are highly desirable.
