High ranking employment law team with a market-leading national UK law firm is looking to hire a Senior Associate to join their UK Employment team. The firm are interested in speaking with Employment lawyer based in Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol or Glasgow.

The Employment team enjoys an excellent reputation in the market and is ranked as a National Leader. Many of the firms clients are well known names in the retail, public, and financial services sectors and they provide a full range of employment support, including in defending Employment Tribunal claims.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a Chambers UK and Legal 500 ranked team at a senior level, and work with “Leading Individuals”, as named in the Legal 500.
As a key addition to the team, day to day you can expect to be involved with high quality, varied work including:
* Helping employers manage issues in the workplace such as disciplinaries, grievances, restructuring and redundancies.
* Leading on complex Employment Tribunal claims (almost exclusively acting for Respondents).
* Providing employment law support in TUPE matters, corporate deals and outsourcing contracts, contract drafting and client training.
* Enforcement of post termination restrictive covenants.
* Drafting of contracts of employment, consultancy agreements, staff handbooks, settlement agreements and other employment related documentation.
* Utilising your already experience of advising large corporates (including liaison with board level HR, general counsel and in-house employment counsel), to develop your career further in a senior role.
* Collaborating with Partners and other senior team members on business development strategies.
* Supporting and working with the wider national Employment team, including supervising Associates, Trainees and Paralegals where required.
Candidate Requirements:
* Qualified Solicitor with at least 7+ PQE and a strong background in Employment law.
* Experience of supervising and/or managing a small team.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability and confidence to engage with clients and colleagues at all levels.
