Human Resources Officer
As HR Officer, you will drive the HR strategy and establish yourself as the primary point of contact for managers and staff. You should have a background in social care and/or residential children’s services, with at least 2 years in a similar HR role. Excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask are essential. You may be a senior HR coordinator with a passion for staff engagement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes.
2. Ensure accurate pay and benefits administration, including holiday pay, maternity/paternity, and neonatal leave.
3. Manage employee documentation such as offer letters, job descriptions, and KPIs.
4. Plan and implement induction programs.
5. Ensure compliance with training and development requirements.
6. Handle confidential employee records securely.
7. Oversee offboarding procedures.
8. Manage employee queries and concerns.
9. Coordinate absence management.
10. Promote employee health, safety, and welfare.
Requirements
1. Completion of at least Level 3 CIPD qualification.
2. Minimum of 2 years in a similar role (HR assistant, senior HR admin, HR officer).
3. Care sector experience is desirable but not essential.
4. Experience with HRIS systems.
5. Office-based role with limited home working options.
6. Some travel required.
Employee Relations Officer
You will have experience handling a broad range of ER issues, including conflict management, investigations, disciplinary actions, grievances, and appeals. You should have a detail-oriented approach and be committed to creating a positive employee experience. You will manage ER cases and develop engagement initiatives to enhance staff well-being.
Key Responsibilities
1. Serve as the primary contact for employee and manager ER matters, providing support and guidance.
2. Address employee concerns, conflicts, and disputes.
3. Assist with performance management processes.
4. Conduct investigations, disciplinary hearings, appeals, and grievances.
5. Ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
6. Maintain accurate records of ER cases.
7. Collaborate with legal representatives, trade unions, and conciliation staff.
8. Prepare reports and analysis on ER issues.
9. Design and implement employee engagement initiatives.
10. Lead retention and staff welfare programs, including reporting.
11. Oversee employee health, safety, and welfare initiatives.
Salary & Benefits
* £32,000 – £35,000 per annum
* 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays)

Additional skills include excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strategic planning, presentation, negotiation, and the ability to work independently. A bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare management, or a related field is preferred.
