Job Title:HR Administrator
Job Location:Tiverton
Salary:£26,249.60pa based on working 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Contract Type:Fixed Term Contract 12-14months
We need you, to help us, make sure vulnerable children and adults have the right team around them, people with the right skills, in the right place, at the right time.
Yes, this role is normally called an HR Administrator, but around here, were known as People Services. Why? Because were all about people supporting our amazing Team Members so they can focus on making a real difference in peoples lives.
Behind every support worker, teacher, and teaching assistant is someone whos ensured they have the right to work in the UK, verified their references, and built a complete employment history. Behind every new starter is someone whos made sure theyre ready to provide the highest standard of care and education to the children and young adults we support. Behind every smooth onboarding process is someone whos quietly coordinating it all, so everything runs seamlessly from day one. That someone could be you.
If you're organised, confident using Microsoft packages, have an eagle eye for detail, and love staying two steps ahead in a fast-paced environment youre exactly who were looking for. Well give you the tools and training you need to succeed; you just need to bring the energy.
Oh, and did we mention? We work a nine-day fortnight. Thats right: every other Friday off, and you still get paid for the full 10 days. Work-life balance actually built in. Tempted? You should be.
A day in the life of a HR Administrator will involve:
* Onboarding Working with our recruitment team and hiring managers to ensure offers are sent out to successful candidates. Youll spend time requesting employee references, running DBS checks, and setting up staff files on our system.
* Training Coordination When we have new people join, most have an induction. When we recognise a chance to upskill our support workers, well arrange for them to have training. Youll spend time arranging this and making sure everyone knows where they need to be.
* Mailbox managementYou'll look after a few mailboxes, including our recruitment, onboarding, and training emails. Well make sure you know what needs to be actioned, forwarded, or simply deleted!
* Telephone work Most of this role is email-based, but people do call with queries related to training or onboarding. Sometimes you may need to chase a reference verbally, or call a training provider to ask a few questions, as well as answering queries from candidates, suppliers or Team Members.

To be a successful HR Administrator, youll need:
* Good admin experience - We need someone who can hit the ground running with systems and admin tasks. Well show you the specifics that relate to us, but we need you to know the basics.
* A great eye for detail. In HR, detail can really impact the service we provide. Our data is only as good as the information being put in, so we need to make sure what we do is accurate.
* Great communication skills Verbal and written communication are important in this role, as youll speak to many different people at different times.

* DBS As this role required you to have an enhanced DBS carried out, we will cover this cost.
* After 12 months service - Youll also be eligible for our Medicash scheme which covers a wide range of medical, health and wellbeing expenses (Including immediate access to a GP!). Youll get life assurance paid at x2 your annual salary.
