The Abbeyfield Ryde Society is looking for someone that has the following skills:
* Can confidently cook for up to 10 people.
* Organised and is ready to deal with whatever comes their way.
* Understands the importance of great customer service and the needs of older people.
* Currently holds or is prepared to train for Level 2 Food Safety in Catering.
At Abbeyfield, we provide accommodation for independent, elderly residents in our two small friendly homes in Ryde. Working within our homes means there will be regular interaction with residents, and it is for this reason that personality is equally as important as your skill within the kitchen.
Although no care duties will be required, you will need to show support to residents in their day‑to‑day lives, by being approachable, friendly and willing to make time for them.
This is a part‑time role – Thursday and Friday, 9:30 am to 1:30 pm and 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm, together with one weekend per month (approximately 10 days per month).
An enhanced DBS check will be required for this opportunity.
