CORPORATION SAFEGUARDING MANAGER
Contract summary:
Contract length: Permanent
Working weeks: Full time, all year round
Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday all year round

The role: The Corporation Safeguarding Manager works with the Designated Safeguarding Leads of Corporation Schools to enable safeguarding of all children within Harrow School, John Lyon School and other schools within John Lyons Foundation. It is an influential position that takes lead responsibility to provide strategic direction, review safeguarding policies and procedures, provide training and produce data to ensure the harmonisation of best practice across the organisation and compliance with National Minimum Standards. As you continually refresh your expertise of legislation and build networks with safeguarding experts, you will work closely with senior managers to recommend new ways forward so that the Foundation can pride itself on its industry-leading approach to keeping pupils safe and well. The post holder will also work closely with, and support, the Director of Safeguarding at Harrow School.

The skills: This role will suit a candidate who relishes the opportunity to position their organisation at the forefront of safeguarding best practice. You will have extensive experience of leading on all aspects of safeguarding within an educational organisation including policy development, case management, training delivery and process implementation. Your pragmatic approach and sound judgment will enable you to recommend ways of working that are practical and workable. The experience you have of maintaining important documentation and policies with attention to detail will be very useful in this crucial aspect of the role. Your strong written and verbal communication skills, tactful, approachable manner and ability to positively influence others will enable you to build strong professional relationships throughout the Foundation at all levels of seniority and with professionals in safeguarding agencies.
