Job Description Overview We are seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor with expertise in supporting individuals with autism. The ideal candidate will be committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for learners with diverse needs. Responsibilities Develop and implement personalised learning plans for students with autism, tailored to their specific needs and learning styles Provide one-on-one support to students, assisting with academic, social, and emotional development Collaborate with teaching staff and parents/guardians to ensure a holistic approach to student support Create and facilitate workshops and training sessions for educators and families to enhance understanding and support for students with autism Track student progress and provide regular feedback to relevant stakeholders Qualifications Proven experience working with individuals with autism in an educational setting Strong understanding of autism spectrum disorders and best practices for supporting individuals with diverse learning needs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students and their families Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to address the holistic needs of students Relevant certifications and/or training in special education or autism support services Day-to-Day Work directly with students to support their learning and social/emotional development Collaborate with teachers to create inclusive learning environments Track student progress and adapt support strategies as needed Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student development Lead workshops and training sessions for educators and families on autism awareness and support strategies Safeguarding Statement Classroom Support is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
