Hey good smelling We're Fussy…about everything in our mission to banish single-use plastic from your bathroom. Having experienced exceptional growth over the past four years, we are now looking for a talented individual to join the team as Head of People.
You'll report to our COO working together to continue to create a high-performance culture where our team stays and develops, and where future hires are excited to join.
This is an exciting opportunity to join scale-up through a significant period of growth. You'll be a strategic partner to the leadership team and a champion for our people
About the role
Joining as our Head of People, you'll be responsible for:
* People Strategy: translate internal feedback, external data and our long term plan into a robust people roadmap to allow us to deliver ambitious growth.
* Employee Experience: own the people's lifecycle, from hiring to offboarding, ensuring an engaging experience for every employee.
* People Development: actively manage and coach our leaders through our performance cycle. Continually assess and develop our processes as the business needs evolve to support our team's career development.
* Culture: nurture a high performing, diverse, inclusive and values-driven culture that results in high employee engagement.
* Recruitment: help us grow our fantastic team, currently with the support of an interim internal recruiter
* Learning and development: identify, design and implement ways to grow our manager capability and upskill our team members, including managing budgets across benefits, wellbeing and learning initiatives.
* People Operations: own compliance, employment policies and employee relations within the UK.
About you
Great comes in lots of different forms, and we're really open to seeing candidates from a range of backgrounds. Given the nature of this role and what we'll ask of you, we do believe that the following skills are needed to be able to deliver to a high standard:
* Proven experience in a people leadership role in a fast-growing organisation
* A strong track record of building or scaling people functions from the ground up
* Deep understanding of performance management, org design and culture building
* Excellent communication, coaching and change management skills
* A bias toward action, ownership and pragmatism - you're excited to build and optimise, not just advise
* A people-first mindset paired with a strategic lens

* A salary of £80,000 - £90,000 depending on experience
* Hybrid working with Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in our London (Shoreditch) office

Our first product, a refillable deodorant is now the UK's top rated natural deodorant and has blessed the armpits of everyone from Holly Willoughby to some very known Dragons'. We have put in place the foundations of a world-class team of employees and advisors and this is a super exciting time to join as we are now looking to accelerate our growth into new products and territories.
