I am looking for handyman to work in the Durham area on behalf of a leading housing association.
You will provide support to clients in the form of minor adaptations, advice, home safety checks and signposting to residents who may have a disability, be at high risk of falls or are generally vulnerable in other ways. This service enables these residents to maintain their independence, health, and well-being in their own homes for as long as possible.
The primary focus of the role is to support clients to remain safe and independent in their homes through the installation of a range of Adaptation equipment. Types of equipment used would include installing external handrails, building concrete steps as well as flag and brick steps. Building and installing step kit units, fitting banister rails, grab rails and key safes.
You will receive:
£15 - £16 P/H - weekly paid - 37 hours per week. Hours of work 8:00am - 16:00pm Monday to Friday.
Temporary role lasting until the end of March 2026.
