Job Description:
This role requires you to be in the office in Winnersh, UK, three days a week, and to hold or be eligible for security clearances.

Our Justice and Public Safety (JPS) Business Line delivers advanced biometric and identity technologies for critical national infrastructure and public sector services.
We are seeking Junior and Mid-Level Back End Developers to join our dedicated team in Winnersh Triangle, playing a vital role in supporting our UK Government and law enforcement projects.
Key Missions:
* Develop back-end software using Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, and other tools.
* Optimize software performance and write secure, clean, and efficient code.
* Reuse existing software components, libraries, and frameworks when appropriate.
* Participate in requirements analysis, estimations, and software testing.
* Document solutions through code comments, layouts, diagrams, and charts.
* Collaborate within a diverse team, contributing to coding standards and peer reviews.
* Be able to work independently at times and find solutions to problems, with a go-getter attitude.
* Support software enhancements, maintenance, and bug fixes.
* Deliver projects to UK Government standards.
What you’ll bring:
* Foundation in Java Programming Language, typically gained over 2-3 years or equivalent experience.
* Experience with Version Control/Tools: Git, SVN, Bitbucket, Nexus, SonarQube, Nessus, Cyberwatch.
* Good communication skills and English proficiency.
* A collaborative mindset to foster teamwork and build strong internal relationships.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Eligibility to obtain and maintain UK SC Clearance and NPPV3 Clearance is essential.
Note: To gain clearance, candidates must have lived in the UK continuously for the past 5 years. Criminal convictions may affect eligibility.
