Summary
You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meal preparation and food services to our residents. Located in a supportive environment, this position is essential for ensuring that our residents receive nutritious meals tailored to their individual needs, contributing significantly to their overall well-being.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook meals according to dietary requirements and preferences of residents.
* Ensure all food safety standards are met during meal preparation and service.
* Collaborate with the care team to create meal plans that cater to the specific needs of residents.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
* Assist in inventory management of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
* Provide support during meal service, ensuring residents receive their meals promptly.
* Participate in training sessions to improve culinary skills and food safety knowledge.
* Contribute to a positive team environment through effective communication.
* Qualifications
* Mandatory
* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a care or similar setting.
* Strong understanding of food safety regulations.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred
* Previous kitchen or culinary experience in a healthcare setting.
* Familiarity with dietary restrictions, pureed consistencies in accordance with the IDDSI scales, and meal planning for older adults.
* Experience in serving meals in a formal or informal dining setting.
