Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Cook at The Black Lion Pub, located in Consall. The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking food according to recipes, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, ensuring food quality and presentation, managing inventory and supplies, and collaborating with kitchen staff. Daily tasks will also include adhering to health and safety regulations and maintaining impeccable standards of hygiene.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook food according to recipes and menu requirements.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
* Ensure high standards of food quality and presentation.
* Manage inventory and supplies, including stock rotation and portion control.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to deliver timely, consistent dishes.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Qualifications
* Experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
* Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
* Ability to maintain quality and presentation of food
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills
* Ability to handle high-pressure situations and multitask
* Experience in a similar role is a plus
* Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred
