Job Overview
You need experience cooking pub meals like fish and chips first and foremost, but also willing to work the bar when there are no food orders or kitchen closes. This is a multi skilled position over 4 days.
We are seeking a multi skilled Cook come Bartender to join our team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting and serving a variety of beverages while providing exceptional customer service in a pub environment. As cook, your role will also involve meal preparation and kitchen shifts, ensuring food safety standards are met like labelling food, adhering to the applied food safety plan and contributing to a seamless dining experience for our guests.
Duties
* Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences incl. cocktails.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area and kitchen, ensuring all equipment is in good, clean working order.
* Prepare meals as per specifications and serve meals adhering to food safety regulations.
* Engage with customers, taking orders and providing recommendations to enhance their experience.
* Monitor inventory levels of food/drinks and supplies and stocking as necessary to ensure the bar and kitchen are well-kept.
* Collaborate with staff to ensure timely service of food and beverages.
* Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, responsibly and properly on the till.
* Complete company training.
Skills
* Experience as a Bartender is preferred with experience in cooking pub food.
* Strong knowledge of food safety practices to maintain our 5 star rating.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and colleagues.
* Ability to work efficiently at a fast pace while maintaining attention to detail.
* Experience in meal preparation and understanding of culinary processes.
* A positive attitude, teamwork spirit and willingness to assist colleagues.
* Trustworthy, mature and able to comprehend standards and expectations.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: £12.21-£14.00 per hour
