We are seeking to appoint a skilled and motivated Catering Manager to lead the Kitchen at Bowbrook House School. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the school kitchen, preparing fresh and nutritious meals for students (some with restrictive diets), staff and visitors.
The Catering Manager will take responsibly for parts of the catering operation, ensure the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards and manage a small team.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have previous experience in preparing and cooking meals gained within a professional kitchen environment, along with the following characteristics:
1. Communication: good teamwork and communication plays a key part in ensuring important information is relayed to staff.
2. Menu & Compliance: create and deliver menus, ensuring the school meets the School Food Standards and managing allergens correctly
3. Organisation: you will need to be confident and organised in updating menus, dietary requirements and reporting information that will be relevant to school.
