Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Cook in their Education sector to join our team at Corpus Christi, Cardiff, CF23 6XL
You will be assisting with the production of both hot and cold food, deli grab & go items and serving on the hot food counter at breakfast and lunchtime, providing excellent customer service to our customers and ensuring all Health and Safety regulations are followed.

* This is a full-time position, 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday, term time only. You will be working 37 weeks out of the year - giving you plenty of time off in the school holidays.
* The annual salary is £20,411.84

A day in the life of a Cook:
* You will be preparing both hot and cold food, alongside deli grab & go items (sandwiches, wraps, salads, and fruit pots)
* You will be serving on the hot counter at breakfast and lunchtime, keeping track of any dishes running low and always carrying out Food Safety.
* Placing orders and performing stock takes, alongside storing deliveries and deep cleans of the unit daily/weekly.
* Till operation and providing excellent customer service
* Menu and allergen compliance
* You will on occasion be operating tills and taking payments, whilst providing excellent customer service to our customers. You will also be upselling sizes and products.
You will be set up for success if you have:
* Must be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
* Relevant cookery/culinary qualification is desirable; however, we will consider experience too.
* Previous experience working within a school environment would be beneficial.
